Why does thought show up when it's not needed?
Why does it ramble on and on and on?
I can be in silence, enjoying my life, and then thought shows up unannounced to tell me about some story.
Often it is a re-telling of a story. Often the story goes over fears, anxieties, drama.
What are thoughts?
Are they alive or are they like a computer algorithm?
What moves thought to the forefront of my awareness?
I can obviously become aware of my thoughts, so can I use them only when I need them?
Can all thoughts become like tools in my garage?
Can I put them away when I don't need them?
