Perfection and Fear

Trying to sort out the immensity of the fact that every moment is the last. 

Every choice annihilates an infinity of other possible choices.

There is no going back. 

Every moment is a one-way door into the now. 

And there is something that is afraid. 

To make a mistake. A misstep.

The myth of perfection. 

The attachment to a sense of security.

Scared to make a mistake.

Scared to do “the wrong thing.”

But

Perfection is in each choice. 

Perfection is in each facet.

Perfection is in the mistake, the misstep.

Perfection is the aliveness, the organic-ness, the incongruity.

Perfection is the mathematics, it is the order and it is the chaos.

Perfection is the whole and the part.

Perfection is the slip and the fall. 

Perfection is the absolute balance.

Perfection is the way hidden in all the ways.

The fear is part of the perfection.

The fear is the booster rocket that blasts us into orbit. 

That frees us from the gravity of the ego. 

Let the fear do its work. 

Trust the trajectory of the calculations that are beyond the intellect.

Let your heart be the present-moment pilot of your life.

The Birth Of Wisdom

Awareness is pure innocence. 

It’s like a child that can be led by the hand. 

As time passes, the ego begins to lead the awareness into the maze of identity. 

This is the fall into unconsciousness. 

Awareness in “service” of identity. 

But awareness remains untouched and pure within the identity.

It remains the witness.

The ego never really runs the show. 

The ego/identity can never really “take over” awareness.

So how to get out?

There’s a learning taking place within all of us. 

The learning is for the ego to understand the power of the innocent awareness.

The learning is mostly through suffering. Learning that the ego cannot deliver aliveness, joy, bliss.

The ego must submit and be a servant of the awareness.

The ego-identity can overwhelm the awareness, but the result is a disaster. 

Living as the ego is a bloody, aggressive, tooth and claw existence. Territorial, paranoid, separate, on guard, never knowing peace.

Only when the ego understands, respects and submits to the power of the awareness, can peace rule. 

This is the birth of Wisdom.

The power of the ego becomes fuel for the innocence of awareness.

The Alpha and the Omega.

The power of the ego becomes the fuel that powers awareness. 

Awareness burns up the ego like the sun burns up hydrogen.

And the identity is transformed into light.

Coming Back to the Path

It's about coming back to the path.
The thought stream leads me off the path,
Into the wilderness of thought,
Into the narrative jungle of my life.
Then I solidify.
Then I suffer.
Then I wake up and realize I am off the path.
Then I die once again to the narrative,
And come back to the path,
The present moment,
Where all of life has ever happened.

The Trap

It seems to me that humanity is caught in a trap.

This trap is mind-made. It is entirely based in the mind. 

The good news is that everything that is based in the mind can be observed. 

And what is observing the mind is untouchable by the pain, suffering, hatred, fear and violence of our mind-created world. 

All we have to do is return to the root 

Return to the source. 

Let go of the mind-creation of the world. 

And simply live.
